Export to Project
The Export > To Project... feature allows you to copy or move selected antibody entries from your current project into another project.
Overview
When working with panels of antibodies, you may want to organize leads into distinct project workspaces (for example, moving top-ranking engineered variants into a lead candidate project, or copying reference antibodies into a new discovery campaign).
The To Project export transfers antibody sequences, associated 3D PDB structure coordinates, parent lineage, and pre-calculated developability analyses directly between projects.
How to Copy or Move Entries
-
Select one or more entries in the Project View results grid using the row checkboxes.
-
In the toolbar, click Export > To Project....
-
In the modal dialog:
-
Action: Choose Copy (keeps the original entries in the current project and creates duplicates in the destination) or Move (transfers the entries to the destination and deletes them from the current project). Note that Move requires write permissions on the source project.
-
Target Project: Select a destination project from the dropdown, or choose + Create New Project... at the top of the list:
- When selecting + Create New Project..., enter a name for the new project in the name input field.
- The dropdown also organizes existing eligible projects into My Projects (projects you own) and Shared Projects (Write Access) (projects shared with you where you have write privileges).
-
Collision Handling: If exporting to an existing project and any selected entry shares a name with an entry already existing in the target project, a collision warning will appear with choices to resolve conflicts:
-
Rename Conflicting: Appends
_Copy(or_Copy_1,_Copy_2, etc.) to generate unique names in the destination project. - Overwrite Existing: Replaces the destination entries' sequences, structures, and metadata with the transferred entries.
- Skip Conflicting: Transfers only non-conflicting entries and leaves existing destination entries untouched.
(Note: Creating a new project bypasses collision checks since the destination project is initially empty).
- Click Copy Entries (or Move Entries).
Instant Transfer (Zero Recomputation)
Because the source project already contains complete developability metrics (including KBC Scores, developability liabilities, CDR lengths, germline assignments, sequence alignments, and OASign humanness scores), the export engine copies and merges these results directly into the destination project's results cache.
Transferred entries appear immediately in the destination project fully scored and colorized, without requiring background batch processing or re-running analysis pipelines.
3D PDB Structure Preservation
If any of the selected antibodies have attached 3D coordinate models (.pdb), both the coordinate data and structure-based developability flags (e.g. Surface Properties hotspot calculations, Mol* 3D visualization data) are preserved and transferred to the destination project.
Selective Metadata Column Migration
If the source project defines custom metadata columns (such as experimental assay readings or affinity measurements), the export engine scans the specific entries being transferred:
- If the transferred entries contain non-empty metadata values, only those specific metadata column definitions are merged into the receiving project.
- If the transferred entries have no metadata, no extra metadata columns are added to the receiving project.
