Export Project (.zip)
The Export > Export Project (.zip) feature allows you to export an entire project workspace as a portable, standalone .zip archive.
Overview
Exporting a complete project archive is designed for full project backup, offline archival, or seamless transfer of projects between users and AbLead installations without losing sequences, custom columns, 3D structural models, or pre-calculated analysis results.
How to Export a Project
-
Open the project in the Project View.
-
In the toolbar, click Export > Export Project (.zip).
-
The system will bundle the project data into a
.ziparchive named after the project and timestamp (for example,My_Antibody_Project_Project_2026-08-28_16-00-00.zip) and initiate the download.
Contents of the Archive
The downloaded .zip file contains a standardized package including:
manifest.json: Complete project-level metadata (project name, description/notes, creation timestamp, custom columns schema), applied labels with color codes, and individual antibody records (names, variable heavy and light chain sequences, parent lineages, engineering mutation records, source file origins, and custom metadata values).pdbs/: Directory containing all attached 3D structural coordinate files (.pdb) for antibodies in the project.results.json: Pre-calculated developability profiles, KBC scores, sequence alignments, developability liabilities, and OASign humanness metrics.
Re-importing a Project
Exported project archives can be re-imported into AbLead at any time:
-
Navigate to the Projects dashboard.
-
Click Import Project (or drag and drop the
.zipfile). -
The project, antibodies, 3D models, custom columns, labels, and pre-calculated analysis results will be restored completely with zero loss of data and without needing to re-run pipeline batches.
